It’s a pleasure to work with The Kenora Charitable Foundation. Their support has been far reaching at Demelza beyond just financial support; from volunteer days in our outside spaces and gardens, to attending events such as Golf Days, family Bubble Rush events and high-end special events.
They are real advocates of Demelza – keen to keep in touch regularly and understand the wider services we offer, and we have no doubt that this has increased our visibility as a charity. They go above and beyond, sharing their expertise and insights from other charities they support and introducing us to key individuals and companies along the way.

Overview
The Kenora Charitable Foundation’s significant financial donations have funded key services at Demelza including our In-Reach work and more recently, family music therapy sessions.
The In-Reach project was a relatively new initiative at Demelza which saw Beth, one of our Children’s Palliative Care Nurses, work within Tunbridge Wells Hospital to work with their paediatric team. By building relationships with clinicians, Beth helped to increase awareness and understanding of the support Demelza can offer families across the professional healthcare community. This initiative led to an increase in referrals to Demelza as well as an improved understanding of our services within the hospital and an opportunity for healthcare colleagues to share skills and develop workforces. The financial support we received from The Kenora Charitable Foundation was integral to this project and we are delighted that it has since expanded to other hospitals.
We are incredibly grateful to be supported by The Kenora Charitable Foundation. The team show a genuine, family-focussed interest and are keen to get involved at all stages. They understand our strategic goals, particularly around the wellbeing of the whole family, we thank them for their long-term, invaluable support and kindness.
